Chao Cheng received his Ph.D. in Computational Biology and Bioinformatics at the University of Southern California in 2007. Prior to that, he received a M.S. in Molecular Genetics from Fudan University in 2002, and a M.S. in Statistics from the University of Southern California in 2006. He went on to do his postdoctoral work with Dr. Mark Gerstein at Yale University. From 2012 to 2018, he worked as an assistant and later as associate professor at Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. He has been working at Baylor College of Medicine since October 2018.
